What is Truth? Are there multiple forms of truth?  Check out this article where this author would certainly suggest there is more than one truth:https://medium.com/your-philosophy-class/is-there-one-or-multiple-truths-52a575f7d99b

When a person goes to court and then a jury of their peers hears both sides from the prosecution and the defense; the jury then must decide where the real truth lies.  But in small claims court, a judge decides how to rule justly according to what seems the most rational truth.

This evening I met two young men who told me this truth, that Mohammed the Prophet had all truth revealed to him building on what other prophets had said.  But Mohammed was the last prophet who revealed truth through the Qu’ran.   I countered with this from John 14, where Jesus said,” I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No man comes to the Father but through me.”   I also suggested many people who claim to know Jesus will one day be turned away from Heaven because their faith was not genuine.  We discussed that Jesus wants to be relational and be closer than a brother.  Also in John, Jesus told His follower He would no longer call them disciples but friends.

The point I most wanted to drive home regarding truth is that one day we will answer to God for what we have truly believed in our heart and soul.   I mentioned that today I went to a funeral for my friend, Dan, who died last week.  I had the opportunity to stand up and discuss working with Dan.  This passage from John 14 was read two times earlier in the funeral about Jesus being “the way, the truth, and the life.”

I said to these Muslim men, and to the people at the funeral, and now I ask you.  What is your truth?  Who do you believe?

Let me ask this.  Why would Jesus state this in John 8:44:

44 You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Why would He tell the religious leaders this?  They were the cream of the crop.  If anyone would know God, we would think they should.  Yet He says their father is the devil.  And Jesus reiterates that Satan does not in truth since there isn’t any truth in him.  In fact, his character is so full of lies that he is known as the father of lies.

With this in mind, where is your truth? Are there still multiple truths for you?   Do you know that God is unchangeable?  Do you God is faithful and no lies can be said about God?    Trust in Him today, for He is faithful.  Step out in faith!
